2011 Nissan Pixo Hatchback in India - Specifications, Reviews and Prices


New Hatchback, 2011 Nissan Pixo
Nissan comes up with a new Hatchback model, Nissan Pixo which belongs to the B segment of the Indian Automobile field. This new Hatchback from the makers Nissan will go on sale in the Indian market by the second half of this year, 2011 itself.

Nissan Pixo features a KB-Series 998cc engine which is Euro 5-compliant with Co2 emissions and develops 67 Bhp @ 6200 rpm of power with 90 Nm @ 3500 rpm of torque. Nissan may launch a powerful variant of Pixo with 140 Bhp turbo charged 1500cc diesel engine. This new Nissan Pixo is expected to give about 18 kmpl on the highways and about 13 kmpl on the cities. It only takes about 6 secs to acclerate from 0 to 60 and also about 11 secs to acclerate from 0 to 100.

This new Nissan Pixo, which is a 5 Speed Manual Transmission Hatchback car, also features a MacPherson Strut, Isolated Trailing-link suspension in it. The major drawback of this new Nissan Pixo is that the height of dashboard is little bit high and may obstruct view of short drivers. Apart from this 5 Speed Manual Transmission, a 4 speed automatic transmission is also available with this Nissan Pixo.

Nissan Pixo will be available in 2 variants: Visia and Acenta. Power steering, anti-lock brakes and dual front airbags are standard on every model while keyless entry, power front windows, split folding rear seats, side airbags and front fog lamps are standard on Acenta. Some of the notable features of Nissan Pixo includes manual air conditioning, electronic stability control and curtain airbags.

This new Hatchback, Nissan Pixo Visia is expected to be priced around Rs 5,60,000/- where as Nissan Pixo Acenta is expected to be priced around Rs 6,10,000/-.
